Elizabeth Guilday
President, Executive Coach
Having consulted with over 3,000 managers and senior executives nationally and internationally, Elizabeth combines her experience as a human resources consultant, executive coach, and communication and management skills trainer since 1990. Elizabeth’s clients actively participate in customized experiences that allow them to greatly increase self-awareness and develop their interpersonal and intrapersonal communication skills.
Elizabeth’s study of organizational effectiveness and communication began at People Express Airlines. There she managed domestic and international customer service functions. She trained as an underwriter of directors’ and officers’ liability insurance for Chubb Insurance Group. Desiring to teach communication, she developed as a trainer and coach at Decker Communications, a consulting firm devoted to spoken communication. She applied the learning from consulting as senior human resources generalist for Lehman Brothers Institutional Equities. Elizabeth designed and managed product and management training programs and filled the division’s employee relations role. At Lehman Brothers she discovered the potential of executive coaching which led her to found Indigo Resources in 1999.
Elizabeth received her certification as a Master Certified Coach (MCC) from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) in 2000. She co-founded New York University’s School of Continuing & Professional Studies’ Professional Coaching Program, highly successful since inception in 2004. She is a member of the Executive Coaching Summit, an international invitation-only group of coaches which works to develop the field of executive coaching. She has delivered keynote addresses on topics of leaders’ communication, presence, and teaming to enthusiastic audiences. She also informs her thinking through membership in the American Society of Training & Development (ASTD), attendance at workshops and conferences.
